"What's on your mind?" Ian asked as he led Steve into the potential testing room.
"Where do I begin?" Steve sighed. "I just woke up from being frozen and realized that everything I knew and loved was either dead or changed beyond recognition. The only thing I could take comfort in was that the world had gotten better, and I was doing my best to adjust to modern life. Then Fury contacted me.
"At first, I thought this was a chance to help people. Everything about modern life was completely different, but I thought saving people would always be the same." Steve turned to look at him. "Then you showed up."
Ian could only convey his apology with a look.
