Fatima calmly looked at the doctor standing before her. He was a short man with brown hair and brown eyes, and his forehead was covered in sweat. That alone showed how much pressure he was under—so much that even his transcendent body had begun reacting like an ordinary person's.
"Doctor Ferrell, what happened?" She had only been praying for a few minutes. How had this man ended up in such a terrible situation in so short a time?
"We just received a new patient. His soul was nearly torn apart during a failed experiment," Ferrell explained.
"So?" she asked. There were countless capable healers in the hospital. There was no need to come looking for her.
"The patient was experimenting with death energy, and his soul has been severely corrupted."
"That is troublesome, but there are still several doctors capable of operating on him. Why are you so tense and hurried?" she asked.
"The patient is Koya Urilanu."
"The person most likely to become the Tower Master this year?" Fatima asked.
"That's right."
"As a high-profile client, I understand why you're desperate to save him, but why did you come to me?"
"It's like this. Doctor Foster was supposed to be the lead surgeon, but halfway through the operation, they discovered that the death energy had already spread to the patient's Soulfire."
"That's terrible news," Fatima thought. She now understood why they had come for her. The reason she had become an Archmage and Tower Master was precisely because of her research into Soulfire. A life
