"I won't be able to get away for a while."

"Won't be able to get away? Did something happen to you?" Coulson asked immediately.

"No. I just need to do some research."

"How long will it take?"

"Three to five years," Ian replied. "If you need anything, you can still contact me through my clone. But if it suddenly collapses, don't take it personally." He wouldn't use a soul clone, since he needed to keep his soul intact for cultivation. Instead, he would use a less reliable Shadow Clone.

"Are you sure everything will be all right?"

"Yes," Ian reassured him. "While I'm away, you can contact the Council if there's an emergency. They'll decide whether to contact me."

"I understand."

"One more thing: keep an eye on the Fantastic Four," Ian continued. "If you see them come into contact with a man wearing silver armor and a green cape, or a silver man flying on a surfboard, contact me immediately."

"What a strange description. Can you send over a visual projection?" Coulson asked.
