When Ian meditated before the Site of Grace, he received a gift from the Erdtree. The first benefit was a pocket dimension where he could store weapons, armor, and other items. With a single thought, he could summon anything he had placed inside. The pocket dimension also contained two Flask of Crimson Tears: a red one and a blue Flask of Cerulean Tears.

"What are the analysis results?"

"The red flask contains a potion rich in powerful life energy, while the blue flask contains a power that can relieve mental fatigue," Morgana reported. The results matched what he knew. The red flask could heal injuries, while the blue one restored focus—and focus was the key to casting magic in this world.

The second gift he received was an item called the Finger Seal, which allowed him to cast incantations. This world was a [Wizarding World], which meant that people did not possess magic or any other kind of energy within their bodies. Well, at least not energy used for casting magic. Instead, they relied on external energy sources, such as the Erdtree or the stars.

This world operated in a way similar to worlds with a Mana Network. The number of spells a spellcaster could use at one time was limited, and Ian initially had only two memory slots. That meant he could use only two spells in battle. He did not like that, but he was not yet in a position to set this world's rules—not for now, at least.

"So, what's the plan?" Morgana asked.

Melina should have appeared and shown me how to increase my strength, but she didn't. It's probably because I don't have any Runes yet. So, let's go hunting first.
