"Are you a Tarnished? It's a miracle that you could appear here. I am Sellen, a sorceress, as you can see. Why have you come here?" asked the woman wearing a strange mask.

"To learn Glintstone Sorcery," Ian answered directly, immediately drawing an unusual look from Sellen.

"Do you not know that, in the eyes of my peers, I am regarded as an evil witch and a heretic?"

"I didn't know before, but I don't really care."

"Are you sure?" Sellen asked. "If you become my apprentice, I will not indulge you. In fact, I am quite a strict teacher."

"And I learn quickly."

"Very well. From now on, you are my apprentice. I have never taught a Tarnished before, but this should be interesting."

Sellen immediately began teaching Ian. First, she introduced Glintstone, a luminous crystal containing the power of the stars. Sorcerers in this world trained their minds and used the Stellar Energy within Glintstone to cast spells.
