Night, somewhere in Mountain City.
On a pitch-black old alleyway, a stray cat lay crouched on the ground, staring intently at a nearby sewer entrance.
The dim streetlights could not illuminate this old street at night, nor could they illuminate the black-clad figure who entered from the alley entrance with a hood pulled low.
Judging by the figure's height, he appeared to be a black-clad man over two meters tall, with broad shoulders. A long black trench coat concealed his slender frame, and his hands were tucked into his pockets. Yet the size of the shoes on his feet looked utterly incompatible with his height—more like a young girl's size.
The black-clad figure walked deeper along the alley street, a black mask covering his face and sunglasses obscuring his eyes. At a glance, he exuded an oppressive presence, enough to frighten even the stray cat into fleeing.
The strange figure looked back toward the alley entrance. Only after confirming that no one was following did he proceed into the darkness beyond the reach of the streetlights, meeting the gaze of a Gray Wolf girl dressed in gray-white magical formal wear.
"Did you bring the goods?"
Fenrir trembled all over. Her tightly furrowed brows instantly shot upward, and her eyelids even twitched a few times before she finally managed to say:
"...Was this really necessary?"
"It was very necessary."
The black-clad figure spoke in a muffled, booming voice. Yet even though she deliberately tried to sound deep, it was obvious that the speaker was no towering man over two meters tall. She sounded more like a teenage girl trying to act mysterious.
Fenrir expressionlessly looked up at the mask and sunglasses on the black-clad figure's face, then lowered her gaze in astonishment to the cheap dress pants beneath the trench coat,
