The Mastermind Should Look Like a Mastermind

Monster No. 12 was a gigantic armored vehicle with an exaggerated main cannon.

Just hearing that was enough to give Hellcat and Iris a tremendous headache—the styles of armored vehicles and monsters were not merely different, but utterly worlds apart. The gap between them was even greater than that between Star Realm Stargazers and superheroes, let alone magical girls.

And when that gigantic armored vehicle crashed through a building with its outer armor and charged onto the battlefield, then stripped away that armor after unleashing a barrage of bombardment, neither Iris nor Hellcat had expected what might happen next:

The armored vehicle transformed right before their eyes. Its tracked armor meshed together into a steel spine, while its roaring engine-heart spewed scorching waves of air, displaying the pure beauty of machinery and steel.

"You've got to be kidding... that thing..."

Iris murmured. Even the loading of her Magic Cannon came to a temporary halt as she stood there, blankly staring at the enormous humanoid machine transformed from the gigantic armored vehicle.

Hellcat, meanwhile, charged out immediately. It took her only one second to accept the fact that there was a Transformer in front of her, and she swung her Cat Fist straight into the robot's frontal chest armor.

"Clang!!!"

A deafening boom erupted through the Mindscape. Monster No. 12 only swayed slightly under the impact of that Cat Fist. The rules of the Mindscape itself firmly protected it, leaving only a shallow dent on its armor.

"Whoa! That's hard!"

Having not expected the opponent's defense to be so exceptional, Hellcat was instead blasted backward by the recoil of her own punch.
