The Beginning of Everything

In the heart of the city within the Otherworldly Space, a disaster beyond imagination was brewing.

A colossal translucent monster towered over the city center. It was as wide as several buildings bound together, and above it spread a vast canopy of tentacles large enough to blanket half the city.

...If that part could truly be called a "head."

Aside from the countless tentacles hanging toward the streets below, more translucent, bizarre entities were emerging from its thick trunk-like body:

Translucent "hands" resembling human arms drifted and groped through the air in a manner no living creature could imitate, as though searching for something important... Or perhaps they were carrying out a form of [reproduction] beyond most creatures' comprehension.

Reproduction was a biological instinct. Countless forms of life existed in the Mortal World and the Star Realm, with countless different methods of reproduction, but the reproductive process of this translucent Canopy Hydra inspired the same question—and even terror—in many who witnessed it—

The translucent "hands" floating through the air sought out suitable places to take root. Their bodies, modeled after human arms, twisted and swelled open from within. Their fingers lengthened, their palms unfurled, and they rapidly became Hydras rooted in the ground.

More and more arms appeared, while the ground was gradually claimed by countless rooted Hydras. Their bodies writhed as they merged and clung to one another, desperately drawing magic from the earth and air before wriggling toward the Canopy Hydra that had scattered the arms, returning to that single enormous body.

The cycle repeated endlessly.

"What is... this? What the hell is this...?"

Hyacinth hovered in the air, staring in horror at everything unfolding before her.

The translucent inhuman monsters were wreaking havoc, yet these creatures that resembled "minions" displayed qualities utterly unlike the minions Hyacinth knew.
