Who was Kraken?
Hyacinth asked curiously, and Albatross patiently explained:
"Actually, it was a name I saw in a book. It was a gigantic monster from the ocean, and I used it to refer to that Hydra."
"Do you know how the Hero Association names unknown monsters and witches? The person who first discovers them gets to name them. I'm not sure whether I should be the one doing that... but since I've always been the only one in this place, I suppose it isn't a big deal."
"Huh? But Senior Scarlet Snow and Lilac..." Hearing this, Hyacinth hurriedly raised her question.
Albatross smiled and continued:
"They're actually... how should I put it... they're sort of like the natives here. Usually, they act exactly like I remember them, but there are plenty of things about them that I still don't understand."
"But that isn't too important. I've always treated them as the people from my memories. It's just that every time Kraken wakes up, I have to explain everything to them again. After doing it so many times, it gets rather troublesome."
That explanation had explained nothing at all, and Hyacinth remained utterly confused.
What did she mean by "I'm the only one in this place"? Why were Scarlet Snow and the others "natives"? Senior Albatross's words really were impossible to make sense of.
The real Scarlet Snow and the other two were living perfectly well in the Mortal World. Two of them were even using the Divine Codex Stone's video call function to check on her situation. Wouldn't treating former companions like this invite complaints from them?
Yet everyone on the other end of the Divine Codex Stone call instantly bristled, especially a certain golden-furred Fox Fox who had been sitting in a chair, leisurely preparing to watch Hyacinth's
