"To get rich, first beat up some trees."
"That's what the book says."
After gaining enough knowledge from the book to survive in this blocky world, Hyacinth saw Iris imitating her by taking a wand to the tree trunks for wood, and she began trying to gather wood as well.
A single block of wood could be turned into four [Plank] blocks with a tap of the wand. As the book described, placing the plank blocks into the magical four-square grid would transform them into a crafting table.
Then, under the tutorial's guidance, Hyacinth and Iris learned how to craft sticks, axes, and pickaxes. They no longer had to punch tree trunks barehanded, and their efficiency at chopping wood greatly improved.
"It's done! Our house!"
As dusk drew near and the sun sank below the horizon, Hyacinth raised the wooden axe in her hand, which was already close to breaking, and excitedly spoke to Iris.
The two stood side by side before the "house." Iris silently looked it over from top to bottom, then turned to Hyacinth.
"We worked so hard chopping wood for so long, and you used it to make this thing?"
"Mhm, I think it's pretty nice." Hyacinth put her hands on her hips and chuckled.
Before them stood a square wooden-plank matchbox.
Iris desperately wanted to complain, but with night nearly here, it seemed they had no other choice but to stay in this matchbox. Helplessly, she pushed open the wooden door and entered with Hyacinth.
It was unexpectedly spacious inside. Once the torches were lit, it became quite bright. A crafting table and a cobblestone furnace sat in one corner, along with a square chest.
"Iris, are you hungry? I flattened a cow earlier and got two steaks. The quest book says we can cook
