Background / History

The Fire Vajra Court is one of the Cloudpiercing Sect’s seven divisions, alongside the Golden, Wood, Water, Earth, Wind, and Thunder Vajra Courts. During the sect’s recruitment period, it was the only court still accepting inner disciples, allowing Cheng Heng to enter directly through Yang Tianzhen’s recommendation and verification process 53.

The court initially has relatively few disciples and lags behind the other six courts in both numbers and strength. Its periodic assessments are strict: Skill-Transforming Force disciples with insufficient force or unstable foundations can be demoted from inner to outer disciple status 74 75.

Under Court Master Lu Ding, the court gains successive high-level disciples. Cheng Heng becomes its tenth Core-Embracing Force disciple, later advances to Mid Elixir-Embracing Realm, and is unexpectedly appointed chief senior disciple. His rapid rise substantially improves the court’s standing within the sect 75 119 120 121.

Leadership

• Lu Ding — Court Master. Usually calm and seemingly detached, he personally oversees assessments, protects Cheng Heng from transfer to the Golden Vajra Court, and selects him as chief senior disciple 74 75 120 121.
• Cheng Heng — Chief senior disciple. Appointed by Lu Ding before the Cloudpiercing Sect’s grand celebration; represents the court at major sect functions and disciple challenges 120 121 125 127.
• Wu Di — Senior disciple and one of the court’s Core-Embracing Force disciples. His injuries and sect punishment weaken his bid for the chief disciple position 74 109 119.
• Chen Yangjun — Core disciple who forms a rival faction and expects to become chief senior disciple before Lu Ding appoints Cheng Heng instead 118 121.

Assessments and Advancement

The court conducts periodic strength assessments for Skill-Transforming Force and Core-Embracing Force disciples. Lu Ding evaluates their foundations and Fire Vajra Qi personally; poor-performing senior disciples may lose inner-disciple status, while breakthroughs bring greater resources and recognition 74 75 119.

Cheng Heng’s Core-Embracing Force breakthrough grants him the status of the court’s tenth core disciple. His later Mid Elixir-Embracing Realm breakthrough disrupts the contest between Wu Di and Chen Yangjun for leadership, after which Lu Ding names Cheng Heng chief senior disciple 75 119 120.

Cultivation Techniques

Heaven-Burning Fire Vajra Formula

The court’s foundational cultivation method is issued to new disciples in an initial one-layer copy. It guides practitioners toward kindling a True-Qi Fire Seed in the dantian, a necessary step toward Core-Embracing Force 54 60.

• Later layers are kept in the Scripture Repository’s Fire Vajra Court section and must be copied for substantial fees 61.
• Completing the second level allows a practitioner to advance naturally to Core-Embracing Force 61.
• Fire Vajra Court disciples manifest Fire Vajra Qi during formal assessments 74 75.

Fire Vajra Qi

Fire Vajra Qi is the court’s signature true qi. Its density and endurance are used as visible measures of a disciple’s cultivation during assessments 74 119.

• Cheng Heng’s Mid Elixir-Embracing breakthrough produces golden-radiant Fire Vajra Qi whose quality and quantity greatly exceed his earlier state 118.
• The qi can form a heavy protective barrier around its user 119.

Court Resources and Privileges

As chief senior disciple, Cheng Heng receives resources associated with the Fire Vajra Court’s highest disciple position:

• A chief disciple identity jade token and crimson cloud-silk robes 121.
• Access to sect forbidden grounds and treasure vaults unless specifically prohibited 121.
• Ten free days each month in a Class A cultivation room within the Earthcore Lava Cavern 121.
• Three hundred-year-old precious herbs annually and ten True-Tempering Elixirs monthly 121.
• Free access to the first three Scripture Repository floors and a one-time selection from the fourth floor 121 123.
