Background

In life, the Radiant Dragon King was a God King-level Divine Dragon and the Dragon God’s companion dragon. His relationship with the Dragon God ended in a final battle that left both sides mutually destroyed; the Dragon King’s surviving resentment and grief remain bound to his dragon soul. 92 96

After his death, the Dragon God used blood the Radiant Dragon King had spilled to create later Purple Radiance Annihilating Heaven Dragons. The King does not regard those dragons as his true descendants, as he did not willingly create them. He does recognize Xu Tianchen as his legitimate descendant because he personally bestowed the bloodline upon Xu Tianchen’s ancestor. 96

His dragon soul and enormous skeleton remained in a desolate small world connected to the Sun Moon Empire’s imperial lineage. The world’s destruction energy originated from his blood and dragon bones, while his right claw bone served as the qualification key for a successor to enter. 92 95 101

Appearance

The Radiant Dragon King can appear either as a vast divine dragon soul or as a refined purple-haired man whose scholarly appearance sharply contrasts his destructive aura. 93

  • Dragon form — Faint purple scales, vertical pupils filled with destructive intent, enormous wings, and a demonic yet divine presence. 93
  • Human form — A purple-haired, elegant-looking man who initially resembles a composed scholar. 93
  • Dragon skeleton — Over 1,000 meters tall, dark purple, surrounded by purple-black destructive energy, and missing its right claw. 95
  • Aura — His draconic pressure can overwhelm even Bi Ji, while his destructive power distorts nearby space. 92 95

Personality

The Radiant Dragon King is intensely proud of dragon honor, bloodline, and strength. He reacts angrily when Xu Tianchen suspects him of possession, insisting that a noble dragon would never prey upon his own descendant and that body-soul possession would damage his future potential. 95

His feelings toward the Dragon God are contradictory. He openly celebrates the possibility of the Dragon God’s death, yet weeps while doing so; he also distrusts the accepted account of the Dragon God’s defeat and questions the “world-shaking wisdom” attributed to him. 93 94

Despite his temper, he is a generous, protective elder toward Xu Tianchen and Bi Ji. He frequently teases them about having children, but his actions consistently support their growth, safety, and future path to godhood. 96 97 100

Abilities & Skills

Destruction Divine Power

The Radiant Dragon King commands overwhelming destruction-attribute power inherited from his divine dragon lineage.

  • Gathered the destruction energy of his small world to repair the Radiant Dragon Spear. 101
  • Condensed Bi Ji’s lightning tribulation into an orb and consumed it, nullifying the calamity. 97
  • Can suppress the dangers of exceptionally high-level Spirit Ring absorption with divine power. 113
  • His destruction energy is compatible with Xu Tianchen’s Purple Radiance Annihilating Heaven Dragon bloodline. 99

Spatial Control

Even as a dragon soul, he demonstrates powerful spatial abilities.

  • Teleported Xu Tianchen and Bi Ji across the small world instantly. 95
  • Froze surrounding space to prevent Xu Tianchen and Bi Ji from moving. 95
  • Teleported the group from Mingdu’s underground chamber to a forest outside the city. 106
  • Trapped the Void-Devouring Hou in a repeated spatial escape loop. 112

Divine Spiritual Power

His spiritual power has reached the Divine Realm, allowing him to perceive threats and treasures beyond normal detection.

  • Detected abnormal spatial energy at Skyfall Peak. 110
  • Scanned an entire hidden secret realm, locating both the Void-Devouring Hou and Primordial Jade Crystals. 111
  • Identified that the barrier around a Primordial Jade Crystal could only conceal it from spiritual power below the Divine Level. 115
  • Examined the Void-Devouring Hou’s soul and discovered that it had been severely eroded by its own attributes. 113

Dragon Aura and Bloodline Nurturing

The Radiant Dragon King’s aura can influence and refine dragon bloodlines.

  • Recognized Xu Tianchen’s lineage and accepted him as his legitimate descendant. 93 96
  • Determined that the Grand Sun Annihilation Tribulation Dragon Egg required parental dragon aura rather than Di Tian’s proposed nourishment method. 94
  • Took custody of the egg to purify its mixed bloodline through his own dragon aura. 94

Inheritance and Cultivation Support

He uses his remaining legacy to prepare Xu Tianchen for godhood.

  • Bestowed his Trunk Bone, sealing its god-level energy so it could serve as Xu Tianchen’s foundation for reaching First-Level Godhood after ascension. 96
  • Granted Bi Ji a strand of Creation Source, enabling her evolution into the Jade Emerald Phoenix. 96 97
  • Guided Xu Tianchen and Bi Ji in combining destruction and creation to produce mortal-level Chaos Power. 97 99
  • Used his final essence blood and divine power to forge Xu Tianchen’s unprecedented seventh Spirit Ring. 99 100
  • The soul-bone inheritance granted Xu Tianchen Radiant Dragon World-Extinguishing Body, Immortal Divine Body, and Heaven-Calamity Dragon Domain. 99

Equipment / Relics

  • Radiant Dragon Spear — His accompanying weapon and a Super Divine Artifact. It was broken by the Dragon God, then restored to Super Divine Artifact rank using Primordial Jade Crystals, tribulation power, and the destruction energy of his burial world. 101 102
    • Its peak quality had not yet been restored after the first repair; the King later began a further restoration using a massive Primordial Jade Crystal. 102 116
    • The Dragon King can reside within the spear as a dragon soul. 102
  • Dragon-Scale Divine Artifact — A divine artifact he refined from one of his Reverse Scales. It functions as a key to his small world and can block attacks. 106
  • Right Claw Bone — An inherited relic used by Xu Tianchen to open the hidden entrance to the Radiant Dragon King’s small world. 92
  • Dragon Bone — His preserved skeleton, reduced to palm size and stored for use after his eventual resurrection. 102

Relationships

  • Dragon God — Former companion dragon and adversary in their final mutual-destruction battle; the Radiant Dragon King’s hatred is mixed with lingering grief and unresolved doubt over the Dragon God’s death. 92 93 94
  • Xu Tianchen — Recognized as his legitimate descendant and treated as a son. The Radiant Dragon King mentors him, grants him major inheritances, and expects him to aid in his eventual resurrection. 95 96 99
  • Bi JiXu Tianchen’s partner and the recipient of his Creation Source. He supports her phoenix evolution and sees her union with Xu Tianchen as central to his Dragon-Phoenix Power hypothesis. 96 97
  • Grand Sun Annihilation Tribulation Dragon Egg — A descendant-bearing egg entrusted to his care so he can purify and nurture its bloodline with dragon aura. 93 94
  • Void-Devouring Hou — Overwhelmed and coerced into agreeing to become Xu Tianchen’s eighth Spirit Ring in exchange for a martial-soul oath promising future resurrection. 112 113

Story Role / Major Arcs

Awakening in the Desolate Little World

The Radiant Dragon King awakens when the Silver Dragon King’s aura on Xu Tianchen triggers his dragon soul. Initially consumed by destructive fury and cries for the Dragon God, he is calmed when the Dragon-Scale Divine Artifact shines upon him. 92 93

After recognizing Xu Tianchen’s martial soul and bloodline, he shifts from hostility to approval. He mistakenly interprets the aura on the Grand Sun Annihilation Tribulation Dragon Egg as proof that Xu Tianchen and Bi Ji already have a child. 93 94

Ancestral Inheritance

He reveals the requirements for his resurrection: Xu Tianchen must eventually reach at least First-Level Godhood and provide a drop of origin-bearing essence blood, though the Dragon God’s essence blood or the combined essence blood of the Golden and Silver Dragon Kings would also suffice. 95

Having accepted Xu Tianchen and Bi Ji as family, he grants them the Trunk Bone and Creation Source, establishes their Chaos Power cycle, and oversees Xu Tianchen’s six-month absorption of a god-level seventh Spirit Ring. 96 97 99 100

Restoration of the Radiant Dragon Spear

Xu Tianchen provides Primordial Jade Crystals and a Thunderclap Hellvine segment containing tribulation power, allowing the Radiant Dragon King to restore his broken spear to Super Divine Artifact rank. 101 102

The Dragon King then stores his dragon bones, enters the Radiant Dragon Spear, and leaves the little world alongside Xu Tianchen and Bi Ji. 102

Skyfall Peak Expedition

Seeking more Primordial Jade Crystals, he leads Xu Tianchen and Bi Ji into the hidden secret realm above Skyfall Peak. He detects the realm’s treasures, defeats the 420,000-year Void-Devouring Hou with ease, and arranges its sacrificial agreement with Xu Tianchen. 110 111 112 113

He later guides Xu Tianchen in dissolving the protective shell around a massive Primordial Jade Crystal, enabling Xu Tianchen to reach the peak of the Spirit Abyss Realm and providing material for another restoration of the Radiant Dragon Spear. 115 116
