What did a century mean?
For most people, it was a unit that usually appeared only in history books.
Very few people could live that long.
Even fewer would write in their diaries about how, during some summer a century ago, someone had met someone somewhere...
If he had never encountered the Observer, the man named Lu Zhou might have been like most students who graduated from Project 985 universities: graduating with excellent grades, finding a fairly good job, earning a relatively generous salary, getting married and having children like an ordinary person, then living out the rest of his life in peace.
