CERN headquarters.

In the lounge café, Witten sat on the sofa with one leg crossed over the other, flipping through the paper in his hands while sipping a cup of black coffee without sugar.

Jaffe sat across from him.

The old man had his fingers interlaced on the table, quietly waiting for his old friend opposite him to finish reading the paper.

As the founder and first director of the Clay Mathematics Institute, the Millennium Problem concerning the Yang–Mills Equations had been something the two of them jointly decided upon during their discussions. Even the wording of the problem had been written by the two of them together.

Originally, as the finale of the Mathematical Physics section of the Millennium Problems, he had been prepared for no one to solve it until the end of the century. Yet he had never expected this day to arrive so suddenly...

No one knew how long had passed before Witten finally turned to the last page of the paper.

Noticing this, Jaffe spoke.

"Finished reading it?"

"More or less."

Thinking of this, Witten could not help but feel moved.

The international Physics community was still arguing endlessly over his previous research result, while his next one had already appeared
