Jinling Institute for Advanced Study.
Computational Materials Research Institute.
Since it was the lunch break, everyone in the office was fairly relaxed. Aside from Qian Zhongming, who was still scrolling through papers, most of the others were either browsing news about their peers in the field online or drinking coffee and shooting the breeze.
"I heard Jin University held some kind of mixer a few days ago?"
"Yeah, I heard about it too. Apparently, they organized an autumn outing with the faculty from the School of Foreign Languages and spent two nights at the Purple Mountain Hotel."
With a miserable sigh, Liu Bo continued.
"Damn it... Why doesn't our School of Chemistry ever have events like that?"
Most of the researchers at the Jinling Institute for Advanced Study also held teaching positions at nearby universities, primarily Jinling University, followed by the Jinling Institute of Technology. After all, their academic leader was Lu Zhou, winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry and founder of Computational Materials Science. Even by international standards, the Computational Materials Research Institute at the Jinling Institute for Advanced Study was among the leading research institutions in materials science.
Naturally, no university would refuse to let researchers from such an institute teach courses there.
As a result, they received the same benefits as regular faculty members.
Unfortunately, the School of Chemistry had no events at all this year, and October was about to pass by in peace and quiet.
Hearing Liu Bo's sigh, Yang Xu, who was making himself a second cup of coffee, smiled and casually said,
"Don't count on it. Even if our School of Chemistry held a mixer, do you really think those graceful young ladies from the School of Foreign Languages would be interested? Forget everything else—just the hairlines alone would wipe out a
