In the center of the Junggar Basin.

On the highway cutting through the Gurbantunggut Desert, a convoy of heavy construction equipment thundered into the depths of the desert, trailing billowing clouds of dust.

Once the site for the Spark Plan had been selected, funding from the Ministry of Science and Technology quickly arrived. Almost as soon as the bidding process was complete, the contractor's equipment set out from nearby Urumqi City for the construction site.

By then, rows of prefabricated buildings had already been erected at the construction site near the military camp. Workers in yellow hard hats quickly finished unloading equipment and supplies and set up basic living facilities around the buildings. On an open stretch of land not far away, the heavy machinery that had arrived was already digging into the construction area.

Every great construction project began with its foundations, and Biosphere A was no exception.

Before erecting the steel framework, the contractor would excavate the entire area, digging a pit three to four meters deep. Then they would drive in reinforcing steel, pour concrete, and finally lay stainless steel plates over it.

As the construction equipment worked the open ground nearby, Professor Hu, wearing a hard hat, meticulously studied the engineering drawings and construction plan in his hands while listening to the site manager beside him.

"...This is our construction plan, starting with phase one. Right now, we're laying the foundations. Take a look and see if there are any problems. If there are, you can bring them up now, and I'll find a way to resolve them."

Only after carefully reviewing the drawings and construction plan and confirming that nothing had been overlooked did Professor Hu nod.

"Everything looks fine, more or less. What's the earliest you can finish?"
