At the foot of a Princeton dormitory building.

A silver-white sedan rounded the corner, its lights flashing briefly before it stopped in front of the main entrance.

"We're here."

Xiao Tong unbuckled her seat belt and thanked him politely. "Thank you for picking me up."

Qin Yue smiled and said casually, "You're welcome. Do you need me to help carry your luggage upstairs?"

Back when he had studied at Princeton, Lu Zhou had looked after him a great deal. Now he finally had a chance to repay his advisor's kindness. At least in his eyes, this little favor was hardly worth mentioning. It was only what he ought to do.

There was, however, one respect in which Xiao Tong was very much like her brother: she disliked troubling others with her own affairs. So when Qin Yue offered to carry her luggage, she declined politely with barely a moment's hesitation.

"No, thank you. I can manage this myself."

Qin Yue did not insist. He nodded. "All right, then I won't go upstairs and bother you. Let me know if you need any help."

"Okay. I'll get going, then."

"Take care."

After saying goodbye to Professor Qin, her brother's former student who now taught at Princeton, Xiao Tong collected her key from the dormitory manager. Then she trotted lightly up the stairs, carrying her sparsely packed suitcase.

She had applied for this student apartment online. It came fully furnished, so she could essentially move straight in with her bags.

After moving in, Xiao Tong spent about two hours giving the room a quick tidy. Then she took her documents to nearby Nassau Hall, Princeton's administrative building, to complete her enrollment.
