One hour!
Professor Joseph's pupils suddenly dilated, his face filled with disbelief.
It had taken him years of dedicated research, working together with his collaborator Dixit, to complete the Dixit–Stiglitz Model. It was not until 1977 that they presented it in a paper titled <Monopolistic Competition and Optimum Product Diversity>, setting off a shockwave throughout the entire Economics community, directly giving rise to New Trade Theory and even earning him the 2001 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences!
No one understood better than he did just how powerful mathematical tools could be in economic theory!
And no one understood better than he did how difficult it was to develop a mathematical tool that could be used to analyze economic models and make it truly effective...
Yet Lu Zhou was now telling him that he had completed the entire Lu-Bewley Model in just one hour?!
That was simply absurd!
Even if this model had been built upon the framework of the existing Bewley Model, improving such a complex and cumbersome economic model into something so concise within an hour was still terrifying!
One hour...
That was not even enough time for his students to fully understand the thing.
"You must be joking..." Professor Joseph stared blankly at the equations on the whiteboard, his voice stiff, as though he were talking in his sleep.
The intended subject of that statement was obvious. It was naturally directed at Lu Zhou.
However, it was equally obvious that Lu Zhou had not heard it.
By the time Professor Joseph finally came back to his senses, the lecture hall was filled only with uproarious discussion, cries of disbelief, and exclamations like "god!" and "Jesus Christ!"
As for the man who had stood at the podium earlier, writing those equations...
He had long since disappeared.
After leaving
