He had toured the entire exhibition hall and seen everything worth seeing.

There was still some time before his meeting with his senior sister. Remembering the project pitch President Gong had mentioned, Lu Zhou followed the map in the brochure handed out at the exhibition entrance and went over to take a look.

The pitch was being held in a moderately sized tiered conference room in a side hall of the convention center, with seating for around 120 people. Compared with the bustling exhibition hall outside, the professional and serious atmosphere here kept plenty of people away, making the place seem rather deserted.

When Lu Zhou entered through the back of the conference room, he looked up and saw that roughly eighty percent of the seats were occupied. Signs hung from more than half the tables, listing the attendees' identities and the companies they represented.

Lu Zhou gave the room a quick once-over. Those seated here were general managers or even partners from major investment banks and venture capital firms, along with a few angel investors who seemed to be representing themselves.

It was not only the attendees who were impressive; the projects taking the stage were no ordinary ones either.

Any project that could bring its PPT here was far more credible than those sketchy pitch events thrown together on temporary stages in random hotels.

A prestigious academic background was a must, and the founders' qualifications had to be exceptional. Most of them wore halos of achievement around their heads. Even honors like the national first prize in the Mathematical Modeling Competition were not impressive enough to put on a presenter's résumé. First prize in a university entrepreneurship competition was barely worth mentioning.
