In an old, dilapidated inn, the dim lights swayed as though they might go out at any moment.

This was the hiding place of Flat Escardos and his Servant, Jack the Ripper.

Flat no longer remembered which wave this was. He only knew that wave after wave of mercenaries had come to ambush them.

The mercenaries assigned to assassinate them surged in like a tide, but to Jack the Ripper, they were nothing more than a piece of cake.

Using her abilities, she easily sealed their Magic Circuits, then knocked them out, tied them up, and tossed them into a room for Flat to interrogate. Well, supposedly interrogate.

After Jack the Ripper confirmed that there were no more mercenaries, Flat looked at the assassins before him and considered how he should interrogate them.

Flat clapped his hands lightly. Of course, they had to be awake for an interrogation. He then carefully walked over and nudged their shoulders, saying, "Wake up, hurry and wake up," making Jack the Ripper shake her head repeatedly from the side.

Sure enough, under such gentle treatment, the mercenaries all woke up. Flat wore a smug smile and showed off his accomplishments to Jack the Ripper.
