Gilgamesh's Death

Humbaba could command the power of calamity, which contained debuffs such as curses, disease, weakness, and death.

Normally, she used this power of calamity to attack her enemies, but now she could only use it to fend off Gilgamesh and Enkidu's attacks.

Though enormous, she was exceptionally nimble. She evaded most attacks as she maneuvered around the battlefield, yet never found an opportunity to strike back.

That was only because she was within the temple and empowered by Ishtar's strength. Otherwise, she would have been defeated long ago.

Humbaba recalled the Cedar Forest of the past, when she had been killed and the cedar trees had been felled.

She had failed to protect the Cedar Forest. Now, she had to protect the temple here with her life.

Suddenly, a voice entered Humbaba's ears. It was a divine oracle delivered by the goddess Ishtar.

"Use all your strength and attack Gilgamesh."

Upon receiving the oracle, Humbaba abandoned her defense and charged at Gilgamesh.

Enkidu saw that Humbaba had actually dared to turn her back on him after giving up her defense, and felt that she was looking down on him.

He immediately used Wisdom of the Masses to summon a great number of weapons and fire them at Humbaba.

However, Ishtar suddenly appeared and deflected all the attacks.

Seeing Humbaba charge toward him, Gilgamesh showed no sign of panic and was about to retrieve a defensive Noble Phantasm from the Gate of Babylon.

Then he suddenly sensed that his treasury had been sealed shut. He could not open it at all, and only then did panic appear on his face.

This had never happened before. The Gate of Babylon belonged exclusively to Gilgamesh. Now that someone else had sealed it, did that mean someone had entered his treasury?
