Background
Founding purpose and succession
According to Chief Worshipper Qian Daoliu, Spirit Hall was founded in the mortal world by the Angel God to punish evil, suppress Fallen Soul Masters, and preserve stability among soul masters. The Qian Clan’s Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul is the Angel God’s mortal inheritance, and the Papacy was originally intended for direct Qian descendants 18.
Following Qian Xunji’s death and while Qian Renxue remained too young to rule, Qian Daoliu elevated Bibi Dong as Pope. He describes her position as temporary, with the Consecration Hall intending for Qian Renxue to eventually reclaim the Papal throne 18.
Holy Sons
Spirit Hall previously concentrated its resources on Ye Fan, naming him its future Holy Son. He became the youngest Eighth Consecrated Elder in its history at age twenty-five before dying in Slaughter City 1.
Su Qi joined Spirit Hall after his martial soul awakening, seeking its teachers, resources, and assistance in locating top-tier soul beasts 2. Bibi Dong formally enfeoffed him as Holy Son after Yue Guan confirmed his God-Grade Asura Demon Sword and Innate Level-Twenty Full Soul Power 8.

Papal Palace–Consecration Hall divide
Spirit Hall is divided between the Papal Palace, associated with Bibi Dong, and the Consecration Hall, associated with the Qian Clan and Qian Renxue. Su Qi initially belongs to the Papal Palace by virtue of his Holy Son appointment, while Qian Renxue represents the Consecration Hall’s orthodox line 15.
Bibi Dong promotes Su Qi publicly, but privately considers using him in her plan to destroy Spirit Hall. Conversely, Qian Daoliu seeks to secure Su Qi’s cooperation with Qian Renxue after recognizing him as Shura God’s inheritor 6 18.
Resources and operations
- Cultivation support — Bibi Dong orders Spirit Hall’s stored spiritual medicines, secret medicinal baths, and body-tempering resources to be used on Su Qi so that he can absorb high-age soul rings 8.
- Medicine and poison arts — Yue Guan’s herb collection and Yang Wushuang’s alchemy and poison-making give Spirit Hall medicinal baths and spiritual medicines said to surpass those of other continental powers 8.
- Whale Gel research — Gui Mei records Su Qi’s successful absorption of a 900-year first soul ring for Spirit Hall research, while warning that his result depends principally on divine protection rather than being safely reproducible by ordinary soul masters 11.
- Library archives — The Papal Palace’s underground library contains extensive ancient records on soul beasts, including material on Evil God bloodlines and deity-bloodline soul beasts 9.
- Soul beast acquisition — Titled Douluo such as Gui Mei personally escort and protect high-value talents during soul-ring hunts 10 11.
- Continental intelligence network — Qian Daoliu mobilizes Spirit Hall’s investigators, affiliated families, and contacts across major soul beast habitats to search for the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger 39.
Relationships
- Bibi Dong — Current Pope; formally appoints Su Qi as Holy Son and commits Spirit Hall’s resources to his growth, while covertly intending to use him against the institution itself 6 8.
- Qian Daoliu — Chief Worshipper and leader of the Consecration Hall; recognizes Su Qi’s Shura inheritance and offers Consecration Hall support for his cultivation and soul-ring needs 18 19.
- Qian Renxue — Spirit Hall’s Young Mistress and Qian Clan heir; initially contests Su Qi’s claim to the Papacy, later becomes a key ally within the Consecration Hall’s orbit 15 18.
- Su Qi — Current Holy Son; joins for Spirit Hall’s resources and later becomes one of its foremost public symbols and military assets 2 8 57.
- Ye Fan — Former Holy Son and Eighth Consecrated Elder; Spirit Hall had invested heavily in his cultivation before his death in Slaughter City 1 6.
- Yue Guan — Chrysanthemum Douluo; escorts Su Qi to Spirit City, verifies his Innate Level-Twenty Full Soul Power, and manages preparations for the Holy Son Ceremony 4 8.

- Ye Clan — Healing clan recruited under Spirit Hall’s protection after Su Qi agrees to preserve its mission of treating common people free of charge 76 77.
Story Role / Major Arcs
- Recruitment of Su Qi — Su Yuntao recruits Su Qi immediately after his awakening test exceeds the capacity of a standard Spirit Hall crystal ball 2.
- Elevation of the Holy Son — Su Qi is taken directly to the Papal Palace rather than the academy, where Bibi Dong confirms his extraordinary martial soul and later grants him the Holy Son title by special exception 5 6 8.

- Support for divine trials — Spirit Hall supplies cultivation resources, Titled Douluo protection, intelligence assets, and continent-wide searches for soul beasts required by Su Qi’s Asura Trials 8 11 39.
- Expansion of influence — Under Su Qi’s direction, the Ye Clan pledges allegiance while retaining its independent medical mission, extending Spirit Hall’s public-service presence 76 77.
- Conflict with the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect — After Su Qi kills Titan and Gu Rong attempts to assassinate him, the sect fears Spirit Hall will use the attack on its Holy Son as justification for war 57 79.
