Gao Jin was terrified Jiang Tingxu would kick him again, but the fight scenes that followed went exceptionally smoothly.
Jiang Tingxu was an old hand at wirework and rarely made mistakes. He spread his arms and let the crew remove his gear. When he turned his head, Gao Jin was already drenched in sweat, his face livid.
"What the hell were you doing?!" Director Zhu pulled Jiang Tingxu aside. "I thought you were just trying to scare him. Who knew you'd do it for real?!"
"Why I did it—you know perfectly well, don't you?" Jiang Tingxu drawled.
Director Zhu choked up, lowering his voice further. "What if word gets out?"
"I'm not that stupid. Check the surveillance footage if you don't believe me. Did I look like I did it on purpose?" Jiang Tingxu chuckled.
Director Zhu ground his teeth. "There won't be a next time!"
"Of course."
Director Zhu glanced at Gao Jin. What went around came around; there was no stopping it. Fortunately, Jiang Tingxu had kept his word, so the matter was temporarily settled.
Jiang Tingxu walked over to Si You. "Keep filming. I won't disturb you. I'll head back to the lounge and catch up on some sleep."
As they brushed past each other, someone lightly grabbed his wrist.
Si You's fingertips were scorching hot—or perhaps it was just Jiang Tingxu's imagination. But where their skin touched, something seemed to burn through his blood all the way to his heart, as if he would lose control if they stayed like this one moment longer.
Jiang Tingxu glanced sideways at Si You's reddened ears, his voice low. "Still not letting go?"
To his surprise, Si You's thumb gently rubbed his wrist twice.
Jiang Tingxu's pupils trembled.
"Jiang, the Movie Emperor." Si You praised, "You looked very handsome."
