Background / History

Clark was raised by Jonathan and Martha Kent on a Kansas farm after arriving on Earth in the spacecraft that carried him from Krypton. As a child, he struggled with being different from everyone else; Jonathan responded by showing him the ship and helping him understand his place in the world. 77

Before publicly becoming Superman, Clark worked as an overworked intern at the Daily Planet in Metropolis. Lynn identified him as Superman from afar, then deliberately moved next to the Kent farm to secure Jonathan’s safety and build a connection with him. 35 36
