"They're retreating?"

After Dragon D. William's Observation Haki swept across Amazon Lily, he suddenly sensed that the Marines were withdrawing to their warships.

Were they planning to sink the entire island with cannon fire?

If Kizaru Borsalino had done that from the start, wouldn't it have saved him a lot of trouble?

Of course, Wushuang wouldn't have had the chance to rush over and rescue the damsel in distress!

Through the mutual awareness of his Mirror Clones, William knew that the losses on Granny Nyon's side had been considerable, but at least Granny Nyon herself was unharmed.

At the palace, however, more than two-thirds of the Amazon Lily Kingdom's residents still hadn't entered Castle Space!

"Hancock, let's return to the palace!"

"All right!"

Dragon D. William suspected that the Marines were about to bombard the island until it sank completely.

But that suited him. At least no one would question where the Amazon Lily Kingdom's residents had gone.

What exactly was Kizaru Borsalino thinking, though?

When he held the greatest advantage, he had chosen the landing battle that was least favorable to him. Yet after William appeared, he switched to bombardment. Wasn't he afraid some people would slip through the net?

Perhaps Kizaru Borsalino wanted some people to escape Amazon Lily.

For the moment, though, Dragon D. William couldn't work out Kizaru Borsalino's intentions.

"Kid, did Vegapunk send you?"

Granny Nyon had mixed feelings when Dragon D. William explained that Dr. Vegapunk had arranged for him to come.

"Why didn't that old man come see me when he visited Amazon Lily two years ago?"

"Who knows?"

Two years ago, when Dragon D. William had been at death's door, Dr. Vegapunk had appeared on Amazon Lily's coast but hadn't met anyone else. Granny Nyon only learned of his visit afterward, by
