When that thought flashed through their minds, it startled quite a few people. But anyone who could think of it was no fool. How could they not understand the consequences of finding Laugh Tale?

Though they did not know why the World Government feared anyone discovering that island so much, the secret behind it was certainly no simple matter, nor was it something they could pry into.

"Whatever they're looking for, our orders are to eliminate them!" Having realized this, someone immediately spoke up.

That was right. They had come here solely to carry out their mission.

Although the Straw Hat Crew had become famous and seemed poised to become a great pirate force, that was the Marines' business. Since when did the World Government involve itself in matters between the Marines and pirates?

It seemed that, aside from the Four Emperors, only the Pirate King Gol D. Roger from over twenty years ago had possessed that capability.

And it was only after Pirate King Gol D. Roger found Laugh Tale that the World Government began to take him seriously.

"Eliminate them! That's what I like best!"

Quite a few bloodthirsty people licked their lips, seeming utterly unconcerned with why the Straw Hat Crew had appeared here.

They simply liked killing, but they did not want to be the ones killed. Even though they lived with blades at their throats, had long grown accustomed to life and death, and had long prepared themselves mentally to be killed, they absolutely did not want their curiosity to earn them a worldwide hunt by the World Government.

Precisely because they came from the World Government, they all knew just how terrifying its true strength was.
