Feng Ling'er was trained by the Red Frost Sword Palace and was its palace master’s most prized disciple. Her Beauty Sword made her a celebrated and dangerous young sword cultivator: its falling-flower imagery concealed attacks capable of cutting flesh and scraping bone 50.

She is the younger sister of the Murong Brothers and the daughter of Nangong Xuanya, the Purple-Robed Dragon King. After Duan Yun wounded her in an earlier fight, she sought her mother’s help to settle the score; Nangong Xuanya refused, telling Ling'er to take revenge herself 144.
