Background / History
Shan Tai was the Mountain Tribe's foremost warrior and held the tribe's second-highest prestige beneath Chief Shaman Shan Yan. At twenty-nine, he was already a High-Tier Totem Warrior with five wives and two children. When not hunting, he trained openly in the stronghold, manipulating an enormously heavy stone ball with extraordinary dexterity. 25 78
His strength is rooted in the bloodline source essence of earth. Before his advancement to Totem Grand Warrior, he had chosen two earth-related totems, giving him exceptionally formidable defensive power. 96
Shan Tai met Qing Lan roughly two years before their marriage negotiations. He saved the Azure River Tribe knight when she was surrounded by Sabertooth Tigers, sheltered her while she recovered, and gradually fell in love with her. Her influential family opposed the relationship because of his existing wives, the Mountain Tribe's poverty, and the disparity between their tribes. 152
Appearance
Shan Tai is a towering Mountain Giant with a heavily built body suited to close combat.
- His upper body is covered in intricate totem tattoos that appear to shift and come alive when he moves. 25
- He carries himself with the imposing aura of an elite warrior; after his breakthrough, his uncontrolled presence pressured nearby Totem Warriors. 147
- He wields a colossal double-bladed black-iron battle axe more than fifteen meters long. 153
Personality
Shan Tai is straightforward, simple-hearted, and uncomfortable with excessive politeness. He readily offers help to Gao Jing, teaches what he knows without reservation, and regards practical trust as more meaningful than formal gratitude. 78 95 140
Though easily provoked by insults toward the Mountain Tribe, he is not reckless. When Outcast activity threatened the tribe, he chose to return to Shan Yan for counsel rather than make a unilateral decision. 99 112
His love for Qing Lan exposes a more vulnerable side. He initially falls into drunken despair when her family arranges another match for her, but regains his resolve after deciding to become worthy of her through strength and achievement. 152
Abilities & Skills
Earth-Attribute Totem Power
Shan Tai's bloodline source essence is earth, and his totem choices emphasize defense, stability, and force. 96
- Uses Battle Aura Infusion to reinforce his body, attacks, and weapons. 95
- His battle aura makes his black-iron spear throws powerful enough to wound an Earthfury Bear. 153
- His unarmored body withstood a Glock round with only an itch and suffered only shallow damage from an AK-74 burst. 140
Battle Aura Armor
As a High-Tier Totem Warrior, Shan Tai can condense dark-golden armor over his body. 114
- Met a charging male Sabertooth Tiger head-on without moving and sent it flying over one hundred meters. 114
- His armor renders firearms ineffective; even a Barrett M107A1 could only draw blood when he was not using Battle Aura Armor. 140
- The Earthfury Bear's repeated attacks could eventually damage his armor, demonstrating that Second-Tier Demon Beasts remain dangerous even to him. 153 154
Earthfury Bear Beast Soul
After killing an Earthfury Bear with Gao Jing's intervention, Shan Tai completed a beast-soul fusion ritual and became a true Totem Grand Warrior. 154 155
- Manifests a lifelike spectral Earthfury Bear behind him. 155
- His Grand Warrior aura can overwhelm weaker Totem Warriors without a fight. 176 177 326
- The fusion restored high-level combat power to Mountain Stronghold and made Demon Beasts below the third tier unable to threaten the tribe. 156
Axe Combat and Hunting
Shan Tai's battle-axe techniques were developed through years of actual combat rather than formal instruction. 159
- Carries twenty black-iron spears and a double-bladed black-iron battle axe on major hunts. 153
- Fought the Earthfury Bear in close quarters after exhausting his spears, breaking through its armor with his axe. 153
- Personally hunted ten Earthfury Bears for his bridewealth convoy. 325
Equipment

- Qing Lan — Beloved Azure River Tribe knight and intended bride. Shan Tai saved her from Sabertooth Tigers, and their relationship motivated his pursuit of Totem Grand Warrior strength. 152
- Shan Yan — Chief Shaman and trusted elder. Shan Tai consistently defers to Shan Yan's judgment in matters affecting the tribe and received his beast-soul fusion ritual from him. 112 155
