"What?!"
The black-clad woman in the stands looked utterly stunned. Then she turned to look at the expressionless Qin Feng, as if he had known the outcome all along.
"How was that, Sect Master? Pretty cool, right?" Bald Strong strode over with a smug look on his face.
"Cool."
Qin Feng gave Bald Strong a thumbs-up, then looked at the black-clad woman, who was still in shock.
"Well?"
"Mm... impressive."
The black-clad woman could not help but give a dry laugh. She truly had not expected someone with nineteen consecutive victories to be taken down so quickly.
"Nothing else, right? We're leaving."
With that, Qin Feng headed toward the exit of the Hell Slaughter Arena. Bald Strong and the others followed, leaving the black-clad woman alone in utter confusion.
"What is it, Sect Master?"
Bald Strong looked puzzled. Why were they suddenly leaving when everything had been going so well?
"Let's find Hu Liena first. We still have to kill Tang Chen later."
After thinking it over, Qin Feng spoke. He had to find Hu Liena first; otherwise, once Tang Chen was dead, the entirety of Slaughter City would probably descend into chaos. Finding her then would be much harder.
"System, where is Hu Liena?"
Qin Feng did not want to waste time, so he asked directly in his mind. With the system as such a convenient tool, it would be a waste not to use it.
"Ding, Hu Liena is currently at..."
"This should be the place."
Following the map the system had provided in his mind, Qin Feng made his way to a wooden cabin.
Many fallen ones lingered around the cabin. When they saw Qin Feng arrive, vicious glints appeared in their eyes.
"Kill them."
Qin Feng did not hesitate and gave the order directly. They were merely a group of people barely clinging to life. Staying alive only wasted air; they might as well go to hell sooner.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Gunshots rang out, and the fallen ones around them unwillingly closed their eyes for the last time.
"Hu Liena, open the door."
Qin Feng walked up to the cabin and knocked. Inside, Hu Liena stood against the door with a puzzled expression.
She had sensed Qin Feng the moment he arrived, but she had assumed he was one of the fallen ones. Even after the gunshots rang out, she had not dared open the door.
Then Qin Feng began knocking. She was startled to hear that he knew her name. In this hellhole known as Slaughter City, someone actually recognized her.
"Who is it?"
Hu Liena asked cautiously. She did not want to be killed the moment she opened the door. Judging from the sounds just now, the visitor seemed to possess a long-range weapon.
"Qin Feng."
Hearing the caution in Hu Liena's voice, Qin Feng nodded. She was not completely foolish. Of course, that only applied when facing the weak. If a strong opponent wanted to kill her, Hu Liena likely would not even have time to react.
Creak...
"Is it really you?"
Hu Liena opened the door and spoke in surprise. Then she lowered her head and looked around, only to see fallen ones' corpses strewn all over the ground.
"It's me." Qin Feng nodded with a smile.
"Why did you come to Slaughter City?"
Hu Liena asked curiously. Qin Feng could not have come here specifically to find her, could he?
"Don't worry about that. Come with me."
Qin Feng did not explain. He pulled the bewildered Hu Liena outside while asking the system in his mind for Tang Chen's location.
"Where is this?"
Hu Liena looked at the magnificent palace before her and asked in confusion.
Boom...
Before Qin Feng could explain, the great doors burst open. A smile appeared on Qin Feng's face as he led Bald Strong and the others inside.
"Slaughter King!"
Qin Feng called out coldly, but the surroundings were pitch-black, and nothing could be seen.
Just then, a soft sound rang out. The candles around them began to burn, and the grand hall instantly lit up.
"Slaughter King?"
Hu Liena stared in shock at the figure standing on the high platform. At that moment, the Slaughter King turned to look at Qin Feng and the others.
The Slaughter King, Tang Chen, wore blood-red armor. Two horns protruded from his head, black patterns covered the area around his eyes, and he gazed coldly at Qin Feng.
"Slaughter King Tang Chen—or should I call you the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King?"
Qin Feng wore a broad smile. Killing him would earn him a summoning opportunity. Who would not be tempted?
"Oh?"
A trace of coldness flashed through Tang Chen's eyes. He had not expected anyone to know his true identity. In that case, he could not blame him for being impolite.
"What?!"
Hu Liena was secretly shocked. She had not expected the Slaughter King to be Tang Chen, much less that Tang Chen had already been parasitized by the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King.
"Tsk, tsk!"
Bald Strong smacked his lips a few times. This guy really had an overwhelming aura. But that was only within Slaughter City. Outside, he would not fear Tang Chen in the slightest.
"What brings you all here?"
Tang Chen did not attack immediately. First, he was curious why they had come here. Then he looked at Hu Liena. He recognized her.
"To kill you." Qin Feng's smile gradually turned savage.
"Kill me? Ridiculous. With you?"
Tang Chen spoke disdainfully. Who was he? He was the Slaughter King—the king of all Slaughter City.
"That's right. With me."
Qin Feng waved his hand, no longer intending to give Tang Chen another chance.
"Meow!"
"At critical moments, the three of us still have to step in."
King Gigi pulled a scepter from behind his back and spun it a few times before looking disdainfully at Tang Chen.
"Oh? Hundred-thousand-year soul beasts?"
Seeing King Gigi speak, Tang Chen finally showed a trace of interest. It was rare indeed for hundred-thousand-year soul beasts to have masters.
"Hmph! How shortsighted."
King Gigi grew somewhat angry upon hearing Tang Chen call them hundred-thousand-year soul beasts. How dare he compare them to such creatures? Was he looking down on them that much?
"Exactly, exactly."
Lazy Yangyang also chimed in. Back then, he had been a sheep who had single-handedly twisted the river of time and space. Could a mere hundred-thousand-year soul beast reverse the river of time and space?
"Two? Then this one is as well?"
When Tang Chen saw Lazy Yangyang speak too, a trace of gravity appeared in his eyes. It was rare enough to see three soul beasts over a hundred thousand years old.
"Old fool, die!"
King Gigi truly did not want to listen to Tang Chen prattle on any longer. Gripping his scepter, he charged forward.
Hah! Die!
King Gigi swung his scepter, instantly smashing it into Tang Chen's arm.
"Hmph! You alone are still not enough."
Tang Chen brushed the dust from the corner of his clothes, then threw a punch.
"Old fool, has no one ever told you not to underestimate anyone?"
A sinister smile suddenly appeared on King Gigi's face. Tang Chen's expression changed when he saw it, and he swiftly turned to look behind him.
Lazy Yangyang was already standing behind Tang Chen. Smiling, he extended a finger and tapped Tang Chen's body.
"Hmph!"
Tang Chen let out a muffled grunt, then closed his eyes.
"Hahaha, that's it?"
King Gigi pointed at Tang Chen and laughed loudly. He had thought Tang Chen would be stronger. Who would have expected this was all there was to him?
"He was merely careless. Otherwise, we would have had to put in some effort."
Lazy Yangyang looked at Tang Chen, who had fallen into an illusion. If Tang Chen had not looked down on them, he would never have been able to get close to him.
