Ye Gu Yi is Qian Renxue's blood descendant and an inheritor of the angelic bloodline. At around fourteen years old, she already possesses a pure Sacred Angel Martial Soul and dedicates herself to hunting Evil Soul Masters. Her pursuit begins with two murderers responsible for slaughtering an entire village and harvesting its inhabitants' bones for cultivation 22.

Lei Chen identifies her as the suitable candidate to awaken the damaged Angel Holy Sword. When he presents the sword to her, it resonates with her bloodline, recognizes her as its master, and awakens slightly after she uses it to purify the two Evil Soul Masters 24. She subsequently learns that the weapon belonged to her ancestors and was weakened after Qian Renxue shattered her Divine Seat 25.
