Hanzō of the Salamander vs. Hiruzen Sarutobi (Part 2)

"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet!"

Using the water Hanzō had left behind with his Water Release just moments ago, Hiruzen Sarutobi easily unleashed the Water Dragon Bullet without expending much chakra. At the same time, his Shadow Clone finished its hand seals and poured a massive amount of lightning-nature chakra from its hand into the water dragon.

"Combination Jutsu: Lightning-Water Dragon Bullet!"

A ferocious water dragon wrapped in blinding electric light charged at Hanzō under Hiruzen Sarutobi's control, while he had yet to recover from his stiffened state.

"Boom!"

A tremendous crash rang out as Hanzō was struck hard by the Lightning-Water Dragon Bullet. When the smoke cleared, only crackling currents remained, raging wildly through the area. Hanzō himself had vanished without a trace.

"A Water Clone? When did he..." Hiruzen Sarutobi sensed trouble.

Hanzō's real body suddenly attacked, appearing in front of Hiruzen Sarutobi in a Body Flicker and swinging his sickle down at him with full force.

Hiruzen Sarutobi hurriedly dodged aside, but Hanzō had already predicted his prediction. He feinted, immediately pulled back his strength, then raised his leg and delivered a heavy kick in one fluid motion, swift as lightning.

Unable to dodge in time, Hiruzen Sarutobi took the blow head-on and was sent flying, spitting out a mouthful of blood in midair.

"Hiruzen!" Koharu Utatane cried anxiously when she saw Hiruzen Sarutobi injured.

"Lord Hokage!" The ANBU ninjas also stirred, preparing to step forward, stop Hanzō, and rescue Hiruzen Sarutobi.

In the end, Homura Mitokado, who was calmer than the rest, stopped them. "Have faith in Hiruzen! After all, he's the Third Hokage!" His tone was full of confidence in Hiruzen Sarutobi's strength.

As the thick smoke from the summoning dissipated, a tall old ape wearing a Konoha forehead protector appeared beside Hiruzen Sarutobi. Beneath Hanzō appeared a gigantic salamander.

The old ape folded his arms across his chest and looked at the salamander Ibuse and Hanzō of the Salamander standing atop its head. "Hanzō of Hidden Rain, huh? Sarutobi, he's a troublesome opponent."

"Yeah, Hanzō is truly strong. Transform into the Ruyi Jingu Bang and use Adamantine Ruyi!" Hiruzen Sarutobi replied.

"Understood! Transformation!" A cloud of smoke appeared with the old ape's words, and then a thick golden staff shot out of the smoke.

Hiruzen Sarutobi caught the staff with both hands, tucked it beneath his arm, and said, "Go, Enma! Buy me enough distance! Extend!"

The golden staff rapidly changed, extending without end as it viciously jabbed at the salamander beneath Hanzō's feet. The immense force pushed the salamander back continuously, sending it more than a hundred meters away in an instant.

Finally, enough distance! Hiruzen Sarutobi thought. He then released the golden staff, allowing Enma to stand on his own nearby, while his hands began forming seals at high speed.

The ninjutsu artillery platform was about to show its might!

"Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld!"

Hiruzen Sarutobi opened with a powerful B-rank Earth Release. Under the jutsu's effects, the ground beneath the salamander rapidly softened, turning into loose mud before forming an enormous swamp.

"Good, that traps it!" Hiruzen Sarutobi thought. Then, this move!

"Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet!"

The fire dragon carried scorching flames, rapidly evaporating the water in the mud and turning it solid, like cement, firmly imprisoning the salamander in place and leaving it unable to move. Seeing that his jutsu had worked, Hiruzen Sarutobi continued forming seals.

"Fire Release: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!"

With the salamander's threat temporarily eliminated, Hiruzen Sarutobi aimed this attack at Hanzō atop its head. Countless fireballs the size of human heads sped toward Hanzō's position.

Although the C-rank Phoenix Flower Jutsu displayed B-rank, nearly A-rank power in Hiruzen Sarutobi's hands, it posed little threat to Hanzō. After all, it was common knowledge in the Shinobi World: Fire Release couldn't burn people to death!

Hanzō flung out his sickle, smashing the fireballs one by one in midair. He was about to pull the chain and retrieve the sickle when Hiruzen Sarutobi's next wave of attacks arrived.

The Phoenix Flower Jutsu just now had merely been a feint to restrain Hanzō. This A-rank Fire Release from the Uchiha Clan was the true killing move!

Arrow-shaped flames shot straight at Hanzō like arrows loosed from a bow. Before they even reached him, he could already feel the extreme heat. Hanzō's expression changed as he shouted, "Ibuse! Burrow underground!"

Receiving Hanzō's command, the salamander Ibuse erupted with immense chakra and began struggling. After breaking free from its restraints, it immediately burrowed underground and disappeared. At the same time, Hanzō forcefully hurled his chain and sickle high into the sky, rapidly forming hand seals as he prepared to defend himself.

"Water Release: Water Formation Wall!"

A massive amount of water gathered before Hanzō, forming an enormous curtain of water.

Hiruzen Sarutobi's Majestic Destroyer Flame slammed heavily into the Water Formation Wall, rapidly spreading into a sea of fire. The Fire Release continuously evaporated the water wall with repeated roars, while vast amounts of vapor spread outward and thick white smoke began to fill the entire battlefield.

(The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, was established as being able to use every ninjutsu in Konoha, so theoretically, he should be able to use this A-rank Fire Release jutsu of the Uchiha Clan.)
