Let's talk.
First, I want to apologize to everyone. Due to my work, I'll need to take two days off next, and I hope all my dear readers can understand.
Since we've come to this, I also want to explain why updates have been so sparse this past month.
There were several reasons:
First: During the first ten-odd days of the month, I was constantly at the hospital getting IV drips. My head felt foggy every day, and I truly had no way to write more. I mentioned this to all of you back then as well.
Second: The New Year holiday. I believe everyone can understand that.
Third: And this was the most important reason. I originally promised everyone that after the New Year, I would return to my previous update schedule.
And it was precisely because of this reason that I was unable to fulfill my promise to all of you.
I believe everyone has heard that Qidian's benefits system has changed. For the first three months after a new book goes premium, there is a 1,500 yuan full-attendance reward each month.
However, once those three months pass, if the average subscriptions do not reach the standard of 500, there is no additional subsidy—only subscription income.
Unfortunately, due to the influence of various factors, this book's average subscriptions have been hovering in the four hundreds, just short of qualifying for the additional subsidy.
Faced with such a situation, I believe many authors would choose to cut the book short directly. Some of my friends also advised me to drop this book and start a new one.
But if I did that, I would feel terribly sorry toward the readers who have always supported me. So I came up with the idea of reducing the number of update chapters
