Two ANBU ninja wearing animal masks stood before the door, hands resting on the swords at their waists.

The ANBU on the right spoke coldly.

Qian Ye did not waste words. He took out the specially approved authorization from his robes and handed it over.

The ANBU accepted the order and carefully inspected the Hokage's seal and Danzo's private seal upon it.

After confirming that everything was in order, the ANBU's attitude softened considerably.

"Chunin Qian Ye, you have two hours to read on the third level."

"You should know the rules. No paper or pens may be brought inside, and copying ninjutsu is strictly forbidden."

"The Barrier Team monitors Chakra flow twenty-four hours a day. Any violation will cause the barrier to seal automatically."

Qian Ye spread his arms and allowed the other man to scan him from head to toe with a sensory ninjutsu.

After finishing the inspection, the ANBU nodded and turned to pour Chakra into the black iron door.

The sound of heavy gears echoed through the corridor as the door slowly opened, revealing a stone staircase leading downward.

"Go in. I'll remind you when time is up."

Qian Ye stepped forward and descended the stairs into the secret chamber on the underground third level.

The air here carried the stale scent of old paper pulp, while glowing fluorescent stones were set into the walls.

At the center of the chamber, a massive golden scroll rested silently upon a stone platform.
