Wizards had never had any particularly detailed explanation for creatures like Dementors.

For all their danger, very few Wizards had ever dared to study Dementors. In the end, almost nothing had been learned from them.

The only thing people knew was that Dementors could not really be considered living creatures, because they were immune to all physical attacks. On the magical level, only the Patronus Charm worked against them.

Whether the Dementor lived or died was not within Eli's consideration. All he cared about was whether these ugly things could drink that pool of poison.

A Dementor's texture was strange. To the naked eye, a Dementor looked like a piece of wood that had rotted away in water. From farther off, combined with its robes, it simply looked like a scrap of rag.

Perhaps no Wizard had ever tried holding a Dementor in their hand, so no one knew what one felt like.

Eli could only feel an icy chill in his hand, as though it radiated from his marrow. It did not feel as if he were gripping something his eyes recognized as real. Instead, it was like plunging his hand into a mass of dense, cold air.

Other than the chill, Eli felt no other effects from the Dementor. Grasping the writhing creature, he approached the poison step by step.

"Drink!" Whether the Dementor could drink or not, Eli simply forced its head into the stone basin.

The Dementor's head nearly filled the entire basin. When Eli saw the poison forced upward by its head, his face lit up. At the very least, the Dementor could affect physical objects. That meant it should be able to drink the poison.

If a living person had been forced in, the poison in the basin would at least have gurgled. Yet
