"Is this an alien?"

Yang Sheng marveled inwardly.

He had once seen introductions to some extraterrestrial races on television. They only said those creatures were fierce and cunning, while descriptions of their appearance had always been vague.

He had never expected the first alien he encountered to look like this.

Yang Sheng's hands remained on the trunk as he cautiously shifted his body.

He wanted to avoid the gaze of that enormous eyeball.

But when he slowly moved away and looked up again, he found that the huge eye had moved with him.

Yang Sheng could even see his reflection in that enormous, murky, icy-cold eyeball.

The Big-Eyed Tree's bark began to squirm like a conveyor belt. Standing on it, Yang Sheng realized he was slowly being carried toward the main trunk.

His heart jolted. He knew the Big-Eyed Tree had launched an attack.

He kicked off with both feet and leaped backward.

The instant he jumped, the previously hard branches suddenly softened and swung out from the trunk.

The long branch lashed horizontally at Yang Sheng, who was still in midair.

If that strike hit him, even if it did not forcibly eliminate him, it would still inflict enough damage to hinder his progress afterward.

Thinking of this, Yang Sheng clenched his teeth. The power in his core erupted instantly, and he forcibly twisted his body in midair, barely dodging the blow.

By the time Yang Sheng landed, the tree before him had completely changed.

The patterns on its trunk had all split apart, revealing dark red flesh beneath. Its branches writhed, its canopy rustled, and that huge eye remained fixed on Yang Sheng.
