Dinner

Yang Sheng hurried to his feet.

"Mr. Gao, I came to invite you to dinner with us tonight."

Gao Peng waved a hand. He assumed Yang Sheng meant a small gathering for his dorm, and he always turned down invitations like that.

"Just go and eat with your dormmates. Don't stay out too late, and keep yourselves safe. You don't need my permission. You're free to make your own plans at university."

Yang Sheng said, "It's not just our dorm. The whole of Fist Class Two is getting together, and I'm here to invite you on everyone's behalf."

At the mention of the whole class, Gao Peng's interest rose at once.

"Oh? Did you organize it?"

Yang Sheng shook his head. "I only made a few suggestions. I didn't expect so many people to like the idea."

"Besides, we've only just arrived at university, and most of us are still strangers. I thought this would be a good chance for everyone to break the ice."

Two days into the school year, classes had yet to begin. Most students barely knew anyone outside their own dorms.
