Sleep

Shen Rui'an was so sleepy he could barely keep his eyes open, nodding off as Su Tingbai led him back to the RV by the hand.

Su Tingbai swept his gaze over the stunned crowd, the corners of his lips lifting several pixels higher. He offered no explanation, only saying mildly, "I'm taking him back to sleep first."

Everyone's minds seemed to have crashed. They stiffly nodded and watched the two leave.

Once they had gone far enough away, Huo Heng asked, "I don't get it. Are those two dating or not?"

Xing Ying felt like a living corpse. "They might as well be."

Little Zhu and A-Ming scratched their heads foolishly without saying anything. They figured that no matter what, as long as the two did not argue, anything was fine!

The sisters Meng Meng and Ya-ya covered their mouths and giggled, already planning to make this the topic of tonight's tent talk.

Shen Rui'an was about to take a shower when Su Tingbai found his clothes for him. "Ya-ya and the others just finished washing up, so don't worry about anyone coming to disturb you later."

Reassured, Shen Rui'an took his clothes to the shower room. Su Tingbai closed all the RV windows, then, while Shen Rui'an showered, went outside to help put out the campfire and clean up the trash they had made.

Xing Ying seized the chance to sidle over. "Come on, man, how far have things gone between you and Shen Rui'an? You're already sleeping together?"

Su Tingbai paused. "He's afraid of the dark, so he just asked me to stay with him."

If not for the curve of Su Tingbai's lips, Xing Ying might actually have believed him.

"Really?" He believed Shen Rui'an was afraid of the dark. The man seemed like a delicate young master who had been pampered in someone's palm.

Honestly, Xing Ying had already prepared himself for Shen Rui'an to make a fuss about going home in the middle of the night on this trip. Unexpectedly, aside from being a little picky now and then, Shen Rui'an was quite easy to get along with.

Then again, no matter how picky or bad-tempered Shen Rui'an was, the moment Xing Ying saw that face, even the greatest anger would fade away.

"You wouldn't take advantage of him, would you?" Huo Heng cut in.

Su Tingbai rolled his eyes at the two of them. "Get lost."

Was he that kind of person?

Ignoring them, Su Tingbai calculated that Shen Rui'an was probably almost done showering. After washing his hands, he returned to the RV, bringing Baisui with him.

Seeing this, everyone else went to find their own tents and prepare for bed.

When Shen Rui'an came out after his shower and did not see Su Tingbai, he felt a little panicked. Then he saw Baisui climb in, with Su Tingbai following right behind.

"Where did you go just now? I didn't see you when I came out." He had said he would stay with him, so why had he suddenly disappeared?

Shen Rui'an was a little angry.

Su Tingbai immediately said, "I went out to help clean up, and brought Baisui over while I was at it."

After hearing his explanation, Shen Rui'an's anger faded. He complained, "Why didn't you tell me earlier? I got a little scared when I came out and couldn't find you."

"I'm sorry. That was my fault." Su Tingbai was extremely sincere.

He had adapted well to Shen Rui'an's little temper. To most people, Shen Rui'an might seem somewhat spoiled, but he was good-looking. Even when he got angry, he was pleasing to the eye. More importantly, although he liked getting angry, he would explain why.

Likewise, as long as Su Tingbai had a reason and explained it, Shen Rui'an would be coaxed into feeling better. He was especially easy to coax.

Compared with sulking and making Su Tingbai guess, Shen Rui'an's little temper did not count as losing his temper at all in Su Tingbai's eyes. It was more like acting spoiled.

Shen Rui'an stopped Baisui from pawing at him, tossed his dirty clothes into the basket, then lowered his head to play with Baisui without looking back. "There's still hot water. You should wash up too!"

Seeing that neither man nor dog was paying attention to him, Su Tingbai sighed helplessly. "All right."

As he picked out his clothes, he remembered the look Shen Rui'an had given him earlier that day. After hesitating, he took a white sleeveless T-shirt and a pair of loose, comfortable sweatpants, then entered the bathroom.

After playing with Baisui for a while, Shen Rui'an had it sleep in the dog bed below. He yawned again, went upstairs, and entered the bedroom to sleep.

Shen Rui'an could not tell what kind of RV Su Tingbai's was. It did not really resemble the RVs he had seen in videos, but it was quite spacious. A small step up led straight to the bedroom, and the bed did not need to be unfolded. It looked nearly two meters wide, with the bathroom right beside it.

Shen Rui'an sat on the bed and idly watched videos for a while. Listening to Su Tingbai showering in the bathroom, he found the sound strangely sleep-inducing and dozed off before he knew it.

When Su Tingbai finally mustered the courage to come out, his muscles bulging beneath his clothes, the person he wanted to show off to was already sleeping soundly on the bed—without even covering himself.

For a moment, Su Tingbai did not know how he felt. He was a little disappointed and a little wistful. He walked over, tucked Shen Rui'an in, then quietly lay down beside him.

Compared to the large bed at the villa, this bed was much narrower, and the space was smaller. No matter what, an RV was not as comfortable as an actual house.

The space felt a little cramped for Su Tingbai, especially with his build and Shen Rui'an sharing it.

Su Tingbai pulled up the covers and turned off the light, but he felt no sleepiness at all. The person beside him slept soundly, and the RV shut out every sound from outside. Lying beside Shen Rui'an in the silence, he felt as though he could clearly hear Shen Rui'an's long, steady breathing.

Just as Shen Rui'an had said, his sleeping posture really was quite good.

Because the bed was not big enough, Su Tingbai did not dare move after lying down, afraid of waking Shen Rui'an. His entire body lay stiffly on the bed.

Perhaps the RV bed was not as comfortable as the one at home. Shen Rui'an turned over and nearly rolled into Su Tingbai's arms.

Feeling the heat draw close, Su Tingbai's breathing became a little hurried. Then Shen Rui'an did not move again.

Su Tingbai felt faintly disappointed, but also relieved.

Shen Rui'an mumbled something and suddenly rolled into Su Tingbai's arms.

In his sleep, Shen Rui'an seemed to think he had hugged a warm, hard pillow. With his eyes closed, he unconsciously adjusted his sleeping position until he found a suitable spot, then fell comfortably asleep.

Shen Rui'an used Su Tingbai's arm as a pillow, his back curled into Su Tingbai's embrace. Su Tingbai's entire body tensed. Pushing him away did not feel right, but pulling him closer did not feel right either.

Fully awake, Su Tingbai felt the warm jade in his arms and did not dare move at all. Noticing that Shen Rui'an had pulled the blanket down to his legs, leaving his back a little chilly, Su Tingbai raised his hand. In the end, he still pulled the blanket back up to cover Shen Rui'an.

In tugging the blanket, he inevitably enclosed the person in his arms. After covering him properly, Su Tingbai hesitated for a while before ultimately following his heart and holding him as he slept.

Having someone use his arm as a pillow was not very comfortable, but Su Tingbai's heart felt as sweet as honey, making him ignore the numb ache in his arm.

Feeling the breathing of the person in his arms, Su Tingbai fell into a deep sleep as well.

While everyone else was asleep, the night owls, whose nightlife was only just beginning, were scrolling through videos.

In the middle of the night, the algorithm began doing its work. Some pet lovers suddenly came across videos of several little mongrel puppies.

Then, a familiar little mongrel puppy suddenly came into view. The night owls clicked into the account and took a look. It only had a few followers and not many videos, most of them featuring the little puppy from the profile picture.

"This dog looks just like the one in Su Tingbai's livestream."

The discovery began spreading through a small circle.
