The Second Split Begins

Takuya's food delivery had arrived. He took off his headset and was about to pick it up when he noticed Leave sitting right in front of him, apparently playing Soul Fighter Arena.

Without thinking, Takuya asked, "Hong Chao, aren't you going home for the break?"

Leave wasn't wearing a headset, so he heard him. "Nah. My computer at home still isn't fixed."

Something stirred in Takuya's mind. The scene felt strangely familiar, as though it had happened before.

After a moment, he remembered: when they'd won the First Split and been given a week off, Leave hadn't gone home either. He'd stayed at the base, just like Takuya.

Takuya chuckled. "I'm going up to grab my delivery. Got anything you need me to pick up?"

Leave immediately checked his phone, then said with a rueful smile, "Ah, mine's not here yet. It'll be another ten minutes or so. I'll get it myself—sorry for the trouble, haha."

"Okay."

Takuya nodded and went upstairs for his food. On his way back, he grabbed a bottle of water from the drink cabinet on the first floor and brought one for Hong Chao too.

The five days passed quickly. In the blink of an eye, it was the day before the Second Split began.

With the break nearly over, his teammates returned to the base one after another.

The training room grew lively again.

Takuya's skill had won over Shanji and ppgod, the two former OMG Esports players.

Now they greeted Takuya warmly as Brother Jing. He'd played so fiercely that he'd not only led them to victory in the First Split, but also taken them to the Global First Stand and won the championship. They'd gone undefeated all the way, and Takuya had been named the Global First Stand FMVP.
