Three Months Passed, and Competition Emerged

Time flew. In the blink of an eye, three months had passed.

Today was the day to test the results of the latest round of training. The flagship Zhenhai hovered above the southern tip of the main island in the simulated Redstone Archipelago.

Yang Wenqing stood before the airship's main command console, his gaze fixed on the enormous water screen. At its center was a panoramic view of the simulated Redstone Archipelago. Lü, serving as his deputy, stood properly beside him like a staff officer.

Lan Ying crouched on a bracket at the edge of the console, her sapphire-blue eyes reflecting the data flickering across the water screen.

Kang He stood to Yang Wenqing's right, holding a recording board. His gaze swept from time to time over the clock in the upper-left corner of the screen.

A moment later, Nian Qian's voice came over the communications console:

"First Guard is in position. The Water Police Detachment has deployed its outer perimeter, reconnaissance Flying Shuttles have pushed forty li beyond it, and First Guard's aerial strike force is standing by. Commander Zhuang and Commander Gong report that preparations for long-range spell strikes are complete. Their attack window opens in one hour."

Yang Wenqing turned to Kang He. "Then let's begin."

Kang He immediately stepped up to the console and gave the order.

A little over ten seconds later, fifty armed transport airships from First Regiment advanced toward the simulated Redstone Archipelago, led by the regiment's heavy airship. The heavy airship descended first and circled above the main island. Once it confirmed the airspace was clear, it climbed, and the transport airships followed to lower troops by rope.

It was the same landing tactic they had used three months earlier, because that tactic had proved workable.
