The next morning.

Yang Wenqing woke from meditation and immediately swept his Divine Sense across the three islands in the far north. Over the past six months, their defenses had been fully completed, and the damaged Earth Veins left behind when the Jade Whale Sect withdrew had mostly been repaired.

Defensive barriers built from Spirit-Gathering Formations surrounded the waters near the islands. Second Realm cultivators from the various guards had set them up personally. Their strength rivaled the peak of the Second Realm, enough to withstand the aftershocks of most Third Realm spells.

Together with the Celestial Axis's defensive formations, as long as one Third Realm cultivator held the Command Center, the shield linked to the surrounding formations could protect the entire army of more than two hundred thousand.

"The Spirit Beings in this part of the Inspiration World are fleeing. It looks like a large formation is going up on Jade Whale Island."

Lan Ying warned Yang Wenqing.

Yang Wenqing nodded silently. He rose, changed out of his loose short robe into his duty uniform, pinned on his service badge and police insignia, and patted the bronze stars on his Security General's shoulder boards.

"Looking sharp!"

Lan Ying praised him.

Yang Wenqing stroked her little head, then used the Nether Passage Technique to appear at the command console.

Liu Qin, who had been waiting, immediately handed him a document and said quickly, "Director Yang, these are the transfer orders you signed. The relevant units have completed the procedures, and they're expected to arrive through the Teleportation Formation today."

"Mm."

Yang Wenqing took the document and looked it over. Finding no problems, he authorized use of the Teleportation Formation. The party teleporting in would naturally pay for the materials at their end; all he had to do was receive them.
