The Star Officer on duty sat at home watching the stars after dinner. It was a terribly boring pastime, considering he wasn't single and could have found something else to do at night. Unfortunately, he felt melancholy—no, frustrated was a better word. It was as though a stone weighed on his chest, leaving him with no energy for anything. And no, this wasn't a case of sexual dysfunction.
Recently, the Heavenly Court had opened an Academy. It was an excellent policy: not only did it improve the young immortals' cultivation and broaden their horizons, but it also spared their families a great deal of worry and left the children less time to run wild outside.
A good thing was a good thing, but something had been off lately. These little brats used to play in scattered groups of three or five. Now? Once they gathered in large enough numbers, they practically turned the place upside down after school.
Groups of four or five had expanded into entire mobs. Thanks to their family connections, they also formed cliques. Either they caused no trouble at all, or the trouble they caused was huge. There had been no shortage of gang fights lately!
This is driving me crazy! As a combination of municipal enforcement officer and policeman, the Star Officer on duty had plenty to deal with. Right now, he faced both the problem of troublemaking brats and the lack of extracurricular activities to keep them occupied after school.
Of course, he had considered solutions, such as organizing school activities. Unfortunately, they hadn't worked very well.
He had even asked the local earth god about it. The Immortal Herb Garden had once been one of the worst-hit areas, yet things had mysteriously improved afterward. After asking around, he learned about one man—the Natural
