Background / History

Before entering the novel’s world, Yu An lived largely alone after his parents and younger sister disappeared. He spent most of his time reading, studying, learning practical skills, and making investments; he had saved enough money to live comfortably before transmigrating, but his savings did not transfer with him. Records in his new world describe him as an academically exceptional student. 10 22

Following a vehicular impact, Yu An awakens at the gates of St. Phelien Noble Academy and realizes he has entered the novel he overheard in the taxi. Convinced that he is an unimportant extra with no future in the story, he initially tries to die, but a crowd rushing to greet He Li’an knocks him down first. 1
