Inside S.H.I.E.L.D.'s secret base, Loki sat quietly in an enormous glass cage, his face filled with rage.

Because the Avengers at S.H.I.E.L.D. thought he talked too much, they had simply put a muzzle over his mouth to restrict him from speaking.

Compared to being captured by them, being forced to wear a muzzle was what made him suffer the most. Not being allowed to speak was simply torture to him.
