"At least you have some sense. Now that you know who I am, get lost!"
Blackheart stared coldly at the old man with the shovel. A terrifying aura erupted from him, leaving the man with an indescribable sense of suffocation.
But to Blackheart's surprise, though wariness filled the old man's eyes, he did not move aside. Instead, anger flashed across his face.
"Brat, I wouldn't yield an inch even if Mephisto himself showed up, let alone his son. That liar has taken enough from me."
The old man spoke with defiance. Scarlet flames suddenly burst from his body and engulfed him in the blink of an eye.
The strange fire did not burn him to death. Instead, it transformed him into a flaming skeleton.
At the same time, a magnificent horse, its whole body ablaze, leaped from its stall and came to stand before him.
"You damned Ghost Rider! After all these years, you're still alive?"
Surprise flashed in Blackheart's eyes as he looked at the flaming skeleton before him.
For the figure was none other than his father Mephisto's agent in the mortal world—the Ghost Rider.
The flames covering his skeleton were no ordinary fire. They were Hellfire, born of Hell.
They could burn souls, and their power rivaled that of the Eternal Flame.
This old man was the Ghost Rider who had signed a contract with Blackheart's father, Mephisto, and helped him capture troublesome souls!
But after Mephisto deceived him, the Ghost Rider had long since parted ways with him. They had even become enemies.
Mephisto had taken back the Ghost Rider's power. The old man could still transform only because a little of it remained.
And Blackheart would not have feared the Ghost Rider even at the height of his power, let alone with a mere remnant.
