Chu Hang tossed the translator in his hand back to the officer.

"I'm not here to fight." He spoke in the universal language he had just learned, his voice calm. "I'm a traveler. My ship had an accident and fell into a nearby spatial fold. I need a star map and an energy supply."

Of course, the officer didn't believe him. A traveler who could rip apart an energy net with his bare hands and make bullets curve? What kind of traveler was that powerful?

"You need to prove your intentions." The officer remained cautious, his hand never leaving the weapon at his waist.

"Prove it?" Chu Hang found that somewhat ridiculous. He didn't want to waste time, but it seemed he had no choice but to show them something.

He neither raised a hand nor made any unnecessary movements. He merely looked calmly at the twelve soldiers before him.

The next second, the barrels of all twelve energy rifles lit up with a blinding red glow, as though they had been tossed into a furnace.

"Ah!"

"My gun!"

The searing pain made the soldiers scream as they threw down their weapons. More than a dozen high-tech rifles hit the ground, their barrels already beginning to melt and deform like candles, sending up wisps of bluish smoke.

The entire process took less than two seconds. Chu Hang did not even blink.

The plaza fell deathly silent.

The officer looked at the molten alloy on the ground, then at the completely unharmed Chu Hang. Beneath his helmet, his face had gone pale.

This kind of silent attack, precise down to the individual, was more terrifying than any artillery barrage.

He immediately reported everything that had happened through the internal channel at the highest emergency level.

Nova Corps Headquarters, Supreme Command Center.
