The young Taoist priest pinched his chin and fell silent for a moment.
"It's fine if there's no solution. So what if it's a terrible omen?" Lu Zhi said. "I drew it. It has nothing to do with Shen Ranxin."
Shen Ranxin asked sincerely, "So what does this fortune stick mean? Is there a way to resolve this terrible omen? Didn't you say your specialty was seeking good fortune and avoiding disaster? How are we supposed to avoid this?"
The young Taoist held the fortune-stick container, glanced at it, then put the stick back inside. "Draw again."
Lu Zhi and Shen Ranxin exchanged looks. Lu Zhi took the container again and began shaking it.
Clatter.
A fortune stick fell to the ground. Shen Ranxin picked it up. "...Master, it's still a terrible omen."
The young Taoist: "..."
He put the stick back into the container again and said seriously, "Again."
Lu Zhi frowned and clicked his tongue, growing a little impatient.
In truth, he did not really believe in this sort of thing. He had only gone along with it because Shen Ranxin seemed to care so much.
But now, this half-baked Taoist priest did not seem very reliable.
Shen Ranxin grew increasingly nervous.
Whether one believed in these things or not was up to the individual. He did not know why, but he inexplicably trusted this young Taoist priest before him.

After Lu Zhi drew five times in a row, the young Taoist cursed.
His voice was so low that they could not make out what he had said.
