By the time everyone returned to camp after washing up, Lu Zhi had already set up all the tents. One of the smaller tents even had a colorful wild chicken feather ornament stuck on top.
Jiang Ye took one look, and his eyes lit up. "Is that my tent?"
Without even looking up, Lu Zhi, wearing fingerless gloves as he built the campfire in the center of camp, said, "Mine."
"I want one too."
Lu Zhi pointed at the fifty-three wild chickens tied up nearby with vines. "Pluck your own."
After his initial shock, Jiang Ye quickly scampered over to pluck chicken feathers and stick them onto his own tent.
The three omegas were thoroughly baffled by this and looked down on their taste with utter disdain.
Cheng Cheng had finally managed to wash his shoes clean, but his expression was still foul. "Who the hell had so little public decency that they took a dump out here in the wilderness? Lu Zhi, was it you?"
Faced with this baseless accusation, Lu Zhi refused to plead guilty. "Have you considered that someone getting stuck in shit before even setting out might be their own problem? Maybe some kind of special magnetic field that attracts one's own kind?"
Cheng Cheng sneered and turned to complain to Shen Ranxin. "Ran, he called you shit."
Shen Ranxin, who was squatting nearby and rubbing sticks together to start a fire, paused. "...Teacher, could you leave me out of this sort of thing next time?"
Gu Yifei squatted beside Shen Ranxin, staring intently at his hands. "Can that really start a fire?"
"It can." Shen Ranxin was unequivocal. "That's what the book says."
"But you've been doing it for so long, and it doesn't seem to be working at all."
Shen Ranxin: "..."
