Shen Ranxin coldly removed Lu Zhi's hand from around his waist and turned to get out of bed.
The moment his feet touched the floor, however, his legs went limp like noodles. Lu Zhi quickly caught him, barely preventing Shen Ranxin from crashing heavily to the ground.
Shen Ranxin's expression turned utterly awful. He pushed Lu Zhi's hand away, braced himself against the bedside table, and barely managed to stand. Then he walked over to the wardrobe, dug out a few clothes, and slowly put them on.
Feeling somewhat guilty, Lu Zhi did not dare say a word. He shamelessly followed right behind Shen Ranxin, naked below the waist, terrified Shen Ranxin might accidentally fall again.
After finally getting himself in order, Shen Ranxin opened the window, intending to climb back over like Lu Zhi had.
"Can your body handle that right now?" Lu Zhi grabbed his wrist. "If you're going back, use the front door."
Shen Ranxin considered it and felt Lu Zhi had a point.
He did not have an ounce of strength left. Even normally, he might not have been able to jump the gap of more than two meters.
It was after five in the morning. The other guests probably were not awake yet. As long as he kept quiet, nobody would notice him.
So he shut the window and prepared to leave through the front door.
The moment his fingers touched the lock, Lu Zhi's palm covered his hand, stopping him from opening the door.
Shen Ranxin frowned and was about to lose his temper when he heard Lu Zhi ask carefully, "Are you angry? Do you regret it...?"
"Get lost." Shen Ranxin's mood was at rock bottom, and his tone was far from pleasant.
