Attack on Sovereign

Everything that had happened at the Celestial Court naturally reached the ears of the Sovereigns.

When they heard that the Celestial Court was preparing to wage war against Sovereign, the Sovereigns' first reaction was anger. Why were they suddenly being attacked? Did the Celestial Court take Sovereign for a soft target?

Then the Sovereigns learned what had happened. It turned out that Sada—there was a young man... no, it turned out Adam, that scourge cultivated by High Priestess Ayesha, really was a young man. He had gone to deceive and ambush the Celestial Court's space station.

Not only had he failed to cause trouble, he had been captured by the Celestial Court at astonishing speed. Worse still, he had called out Ayesha's name in full view of everyone, dragging Sovereign into the mess.

Once they learned this, the elders exploded with rage, cursing Adam as a disaster and blaming Ayesha for failing to properly cultivate him!

Naturally, they would not admit that they had forced Ayesha to release Adam. All they wanted now was to distance themselves from the matter. It had nothing to do with them; it was all Ayesha's doing.

That would at least give them an explanation. Of course, if the Celestial Court truly failed to appreciate their goodwill and attacked, they would make the Celestial Court understand that the Sovereigns were not to be trifled with.

Thus, before Ayesha could even react, Sovereign's High Council passed a motion and swiftly arrested the high priestess. She was now the former high priestess.

Ayesha was thrown directly into prison. Under the circumstances, the Sovereigns naturally had no desire to choose another high priestess. They planned to deal with the Celestial Court's attack first.

This was, in truth, a struggle for power. Ayesha, as high priestess, had always been
