Controlling Sovereign

Julia and Faora had been waiting outside the whole time. As more time passed, they both realized what had happened.

Sure enough, when the two emerged, they saw that there were red marks on Ayesha's golden Sovereign skin. She had clearly suffered quite a heavy impact.

Julia and Faora exchanged glances, both feeling somewhat helpless. But they also knew that Ke Chen was no ordinary man, so having one more Ayesha was nothing.

They had to admit that this was the best way to rule.

Having Sovereigns rule Sovereigns would be far easier than taking over directly themselves.

For example, most of the Sovereigns in this main city had now been herded like sheep into the center of the enormous square.

These Sovereigns wore fearful expressions, and all sorts of complicated emotions had gathered together. If they had possessed any military strength, this could easily have sparked an uprising.

The Sovereigns themselves were simply too weak. Their training took place inside machines, and their own strength was pitifully fragile. Once they lost the protection of technology, they were completely helpless.

These Sovereigns desperately needed an outlet, so when Ayesha emerged with her arm linked through Ke Chen's, they immediately became enraged.

Ayesha had once been the High Priestess, and nearly every Sovereign knew this proud female priestess. Yet now, the High Priestess had become the enemy's woman and had appeared in such a manner.

The Sovereigns did not dare direct their anger at Ke Chen, so they could only start cursing Ayesha.
